Despite recent winters, hunting landscape looks good

With the onset of autumn, North Dakotans get “back in the hunt.” The opening of hunting season is a spark for rural communities and a welcome sign for the nearly 100,000 hunters who will take to North Dakota fields to chase game.

The N.D. Game and Fish Department is indicating that wildlife numbers do show the effects of two straight hard winters. But, the department says there is ample wildlife to be pursued and harvested.
