Conrad Honors ND’s Electrical Line Workers
Senator Commends Brave Crews Helping Restore Power Across the State

Wally Kalmbach, Director of Safety Training, 701.667.6401

A mid-January ice storm caused considerable pole damage and power outages to electric cooperative systems. Estimates show that the storm caused damage to approximately 3,200 poles. More than 450 lineworkers, including contractors, worked to restore power.

Although damage to electric systems occured throughout the state, the most damage occured at the following electric cooperatives--KEM Electric Cooperative: Mor-Gran-Sou Electric Cooperative; Roughrider Electric Cooperative and Slope Electric Cooperative.

Electric cooperatives want to thank their members for their patience during this time. Your electric cooperative is also asking for your assistance in helping to report any damage. For more information contact them here.
