NEW DATE: Tuesday, September 1, 2026
NEW TIME: 1:30 – 5:00 p.m.
LOCATION: NDAREC Headquarters, Mandan

This complimentary, nonpartisan learning session is designed to give legislators and candidates a practical look at North Dakota's electric cooperative system and the issues shaping the future of reliable, affordable electricity across our state.

With a special session beginning the very next day, this is an excellent opportunity to spend an afternoon with electric cooperative leaders and industry experts and get up to speed on issues that affect virtually every community and sector of North Dakota.

Topics will include:

  • North Dakota's electric cooperative system and how it operates
  • Generation, transmission, and distribution
  • Grid reliability and resource adequacy
  • Emerging energy policy and regulatory issues
  • Challenges and opportunities facing rural North Dakota
  • What policymakers should know about the state's electric future

Please update your calendar with the new date and time. We hope you'll take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about the electric system that powers North Dakota — and to connect with the people working every day to keep that system reliable and affordable.
