NDAREC safety instructors provide training to our members in several ways including but not limited to; onsite, field visits, special schools, and conferences. 

Safety instructors provide customize onsite training to our members in the form of classroom and field meetings. The intent is for the participant to apply industry specific skills and knowledge directly and immediately in their job. 

Apprenticeship, Training and Safety (AT&S) Conference 
The Apprenticeship, Training and Safety (AT&S) Conference is a long-standing conference that provides technical training, drives safety culture, awards safety accomplishments, and recognizes graduates who have achieved their journey worker certification.

  • The 61st AT&S Conference will be held January 8-10, 2025, at NDAREC and the Baymont Inn, Mandan, ND

Tech Talk
Tech Talk is an annual vendor showcase that leads to relationship building, networking, industry education, brand recognition, and competitor research. This event attracts 200 plus attendees.

Special schools 
Special schools provide additional trade skills and knowledge often supported by hands-on experience in a simulated work environment. Vendor participation in special schools provides industry education and a direct connection between manufacturers and ND’s electric cooperative.

NCCCO certification and recertification
NDAREC partners with Train ND to provide NCCCO Digger derrick and mobile crane operator certification and recertification. The two testing facilities in ND including Mandan and Williston.
